S. Main St. between Buchtel Ave. and State St. will close for each Akron RubberDucks home game.

Heart of Akron Festival & Akron Bicentennial Parade
July 3 - 5, 2025
Beginning on the evening of July 3, there will be no street parking along the Bicentennial Parade route.
Beginning July 4 at noon, MLK, Dart, and Rand Avenues will be closed between Cedar and Main St. and will open a few hours after the fireworks show ends. Access to the W. Center St. neighborhood will be redirected to Exchange and Rand by a police officer.
Beginning at 8 pm on July 4, Main St. from State to Mill will be closed and will open a few hours after the fireworks show ends.
On July 5, Main Street will be closed from Buchtel to Perkins. High Street will be closed from Buchtel to Market. Market Street will be closed from Rand to Broadway. The roads will reopen at the conclusion of the parade.
Construction
Road Closure Details: Bowery St, S. Main St. to Quaker St.
Starting March 3, 2025, Bowery St. will close between S. Main St. and Quaker St. for 240 days for the Bowery St. bridge deck replacement project.
Access to the Cascade Parking Deck will remain from Mill St., as well as Ash St. to Quaker St.
Sidewalk access to the Bowery Apartments will remain from S. Main St.
Bowery St Detour:
Northbound traffic on S. Main St.: S. Main St., turn west on State St. to Bowery St.
Southbound traffic on S. Main St.: S. Main St., turn east on State St. to Bowery St.
